Congratulations to Studio Branca. Their first event raised over $190,000 with 200 shavees and big smiles all round. Laura Zoellner, of Studio Branca, was the ultimate event organizer. Laura said "Our lives have all been changed by this event and I can't put into words how this has uplifted my life".
The event was a huge success with tremendous support from their local FOX channel and ALL their local papers. Laura's daughter recruited four other girls from her 5th grade class to shave, and they were recognized by a standing ovation at their school's award ceremony. Not only that, a photo studio donated time to take photos of the girls, after they bravely faced the clippers.
The event honored the Godfrey and Drier families, whose children are both in treatment. Both families were very touched by this incredible show of support.
Everyone involved is already looking forward to 2011.
